On 15th October 2024, a meeting was held between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), GHASBO Executives, and the Members of the Land-Based Casino Association to discuss the upcoming deployment of the Gaming Monitoring and Assurance System (GMAS). In attendance were the Commissioner General of GRA , Ms. Julie Essiam, the Commissioner DTRD, Mr. Edward Apenteng Gyamerah operational managers, the Gaming Desk Team, GHASBO Executives, and members of theland-based casino association.

The meeting commenced with a welcome and introduction by the Commissioner General, who emphasized the importance of the GMAS and the need for collaboration between all stakeholders to ensure its success. He reiterated that the system was being introduced for revenue assurance andimproved revenue generation, with the goal of creating a seamless and efficient monitoring mechanism for the gaming industry.
